Texas pride is a real thing and I never really understood it until we moved here. At preschool they have a Texas day where everyone dresses up and gets to take these adorable pony pictures in horrible lighting :) We invested in some Payless cowboy boots, they both loved them so much they wore them around for days after this.
Mom, Cole, and Brady day at the mall!!
When Al is in town I take advantage of some of those evenings to go run errands kid free. I've let Alex come a few times, but it's hard because he never stops talking....lol Sometimes it's hard to focus and shop when he's asking me a million questions and talking about who knows what.
Hey mom will you take a picture of me over there?
We found out about the father son campout the day of and luckily Al was in town so we got everything ready and they headed out for a boys night. Brady and I went to bed really early and it was so great.
This is the only picture Al took for me, but he said they loved it, stayed up super late, and Cole made friends with an 8 year old in our ward that he followed around all night. They got home around 7 or 8am the next morning with lots of stories to tell. I think it's so great for our boys to have time alone with Al so hopefully there will be many more Father/son dates in the future!!
