New Beginnings

Boy am I glad that we are done moving. Right now I can't think of anything more stressful than moving (giving birth doesn't count). We moved to a 3 bedroom townhouse in Pasadena which is about 10 minutes East of Glendale aka Armenia where we were living before. I was so pre occupied with everything when we were moving I didn't take any pictures of the Uhaul or Alex strapped to me in the Bjorn the entire move. One of the most exciting things about our new place is it has a 2 car garage. That may not seem like a big deal to most people reading this, but TRUST me, it's like heaven in LA to pull up in a garage and only have to walk 2 steps to the door with groceries, Alex, and anything else I want to carry inside.
Look at how happy I am about all that storage space!!
and here is a picture of the new place. If you're coming to LA and need a place to stay call us!! I will post interior pics when all of our pictures are hung :)

Seven Months

Weight: 19lbs 9oz
At Seven Months Alex is.....
Started crawling a few days after his six month birthday.
Sits up on his own.
Stands up in his crib and balances on his bumper.....just lowered his crib to the lowest level.
Pulls himself up so he is standing against our couch, tv stand, bumbo, and everything else he can find. He starts crying when he realizes he doesn't know how to get back down.
Loves his Big Bird stuffed animal from Uncle Ryan and will give it kisses.
Went to Austin Texas and wore his first suit to a wedding.
He has started making more noise.
Getting more hair, but still looks bald.
Loves Loves Cords, plugs, and blinds. He also loves anything that's not a toy like remotes, keys, straws, water bottles, and the worst one is my iPhone. He will be in tears and if I hand him my iPhone he immediately stops crying. Luckily Al found his old Blackberry and let him have it. We charged it up for him and gave him a leather clip on carrier for his belt.
Stares at people all the time until it's uncomfortable and you have to say something like I guess my baby likes you...lol
He is still only breastfed.....I've tried Green Beans (canned & homemade), Sweet Potatoes, Fresh Bananas with Breast Milk, Rice Cereal, Pears, Apples and he's just not into any of it especially the vegetables. Looves his milk and smacks his lips everytime he's done eating.
Pushes the sun shade on his car seat forward the moment I put him in the car so he can peer back at you.
Loves watching Baby Einstein
Likes to ride in shopping carts now, but still a little wobbly.
In a stage where he only wants ME. I had Al go into his room the other night when he was crying and he wouldn't have anything to do with him. As soon as I picked him up he put his head on my shoulder and stopped crying. It's the sweetest thing, but not good when I need to get things done around the house.
He still likes to put everything in his mouth just like the picture below.
Such a cute boy
We sure do love him and I'm so glad I get to kiss those chubby cheeks every day.

End of Summer

Last weekend we went on a hike in Malibu called Escondido falls. To get to the trail head you have to walk by the most amazing houses. This is one of my favorites with the tennis court, swimming pool, vineyard, batting cages. Pretty amazing.
The 2 cutest Albert's I know.
Lacie and I. Wooooh
The long awaited waterfall that was just a trickle. I'm guessing it's more of a waterfall in the spring??
We found a yummy new ice cream place in Montrose called Paradis.
and lastly we enjoyed another amazing day at the beach. Perfect temp, no people, and Alex was trapped in his Pac N Play.
Alex went from crawling to standing, but he prefers standing and pulling himself up onto anything and everything which means I'm constantly saying no no Alex....come play with your toys.
This kid is going to get rid of those cankles and have ripped calves from always standing on his tippy toes.
We found a bed of Oysters in the tide.
Al and Coby played catch for way longer than I ever would.
Family fun at Redondo Beach

Austin

After we said our goodbyes in San Antonio we went to Austin with Brian and Erica.
Erica took Alex and I to see the capitol building.

Best picture ever
That night we went to dinner at Maria Maria which is Carlos Santanas restaurant. I just learned that there are 3 more locations all in California, so we will definitely be going back.
Our last day in Austin Brian took us to the UT campus.
I saw the Kappa house
and the football stadium.
You can't go to Texas without trying on some boots, so Brian and Al took me to Allen Boots.
Al found his dream boots in the women's section.
Of course I tried them on for him. Too bad they were more than Louboutins. Thanks for showing us around Austin Brian and Erica. So much fun to spend time with you both!!

White Wedding

Sunday was the big wedding day. Stephanie found Alex a baby suit that he wore to the wedding. It was adorable!!

Here is the famous Reverend also known as Al walking with the groom.
The beautiful bride Stephanie.
Al did great with the marriage. Everyone loved it so much they asked him when he was performing his next marriage. Sadly this was his one and only, but if you have any questions just go to firstnationministry.com
Al, Brayden, and Brian. It's good that these 3 don't live in the same city/state.....it could be trouble.
It was pouring rain during the wedding, but luckily it cleared up for the reception afterwards. Thanks for sharing you're special day with us. It was so much fun to be there with you guys.
I finally found something Alex likes.....Strawberries!! He loved sucking on them....so maybe after I get him to eat some vegetables I will puree strawberries :)

River Walk

Last weekend we were in San Antonio for a wedding. This was Alex's 4th time flying and he did great.
You will never guess who was the Reverend for the wedding......my husband and he has his very own Clergy parking pass to prove it :) More details in the next post
The day before the wedding a big group of us went to the Riverwalk.

We took a boat ride
and got stuck in a downpour.
Al hates the Alamo since he grew up in San Antonio. Since Alex doesn't have a picture in front of it he let us take a family picture, such a nice husband.
How cute is this picture?
