New Friends

Ever since Alex started school I feel like we do a lot less during the days.  Poor Cole usually just runs errands with Brady and I.   I also feel like Cole and I have grown a lot closer since Alex has gone to school.  We get a lot more one on one time which I have loved, we both miss Alex and are learning to adjust without him.
I still make Cole have quiet time while Brady naps and believe it or not he still naps at least 50% of the time.  Bedtime might be a little harder and later, but Cole loves his naps.

Alex is practicing piano almost everyday and almost 5 months later it's basically a daily 15 minute chore.  We've gotten in a few fights about it, but I hope I can get him to continue it for many years.
Cutest Brady at tennis and still not crawling, yes!!
Crib time with Brady
We randomly planned a playdate with one of Al's classmates wife and kids.  I think she's the only wife that lives in Dallas so we have combined forces.  I think we were both a little hesitant thinking what if they are weird, but we hit it off and she's hilarious.
Kid selfie, so great to have someone that is going through the same thing as me minus her husband not traveling on top of the school, haha.

Cole's Soccer Team

Cole finally got to be on a soccer team like Alex.  He was so excited to wear his jersey and be on the Frisco Lightning.  There was some very warm games, but we survived another season and he had fun.

8 Year Anniversary

Al's cousin Kylee was so sweet and watched our kids for a night while she was here visiting.  We stayed at the W in Dallas, went to a dinner that turned into a nightmare and we ended up leaving with to go bags 3 hours later.
We did get to sleep in which was amazing and then we went on a last minute segway tour of Dallas
8 years=Bronze and we just happened to be driving by a bronze sculpture garden full of cattle, hook em horns!!
Cheesy photo they made us do, haha.
After our Segway tour we sat at the pool for a bit in our clothes and it was so beautiful I didn't ever want to leave.  We had a quick lunch and then went back to take Kylee out and about to show her Texas.  Happy 8 years to us!!

Brady 10 Months

At 10 Months
Brady LOVES food, he seriously just eats and eats
He mostly eats solids unless we are on the go and in a hurry
Pulls himself up on our drawers and looks like a little gopher
Loves to open cupboards
Has 8 teeth and loves his binky but try to only let him have it at naps
Constantly wiggles his feet and toes especially while he's eating, my favorite!!
Drinks through  straw like a pro
Sleeps 630-630 and takes 2 naps
ALWAYS has a smile, I can't even handle how cute he is

Kylee Comes To Dallas

Kylee came to visit us in Texas and it was so great to see her!! I brought her a bandana and kids cowboy hat to welcome her to Texas.
Our first stop was Chick Fil A and then a photo shoot at Costa Vida to try and win a weekly free meal for a year!!
Kylee read the boys lots of books which they loved.
We stopped by the new Ford Center which is where the Cowboys practice and high schools get to play their games, everything is bigger in Texas!!
We took her to dinner at Chuys for dinner
Her last day we went to Dallas and I took her to the grassy knoll where JFK was shot.
The Bronze cattle sculptures
Top of Reunion Tower

and lunch at Shake Shack.....at this point I was getting the chills and had the worst stomach ache.  I knew I was getting sick and it came on bad that night after I took her to the airport.  The next day my friend Steph took Brady so I could sleep and recover from the flu.  Where was Al?  He was at a manager meeting in San Diego freaking wave running and I had the flu!!!   I hope all of our boys never have a job where they have to travel, it's so hard.  Not to mention our kids always say stuff like Dad where are you going?, you're never here, you live at the airport, will you come home.    Life is never easy and that is one of my big challenges, but parenting was not made for one person.  Kids need their Mom and Dad and I can vogue for that since I don't have a  relationship with my Dad.

School Tour

Al's class was having a spouse weekend where we got to attend class for a few hours with one of his professors and have a BBQ after or should I say grill out (everyone in Texas says that...lol).  We left Thursday around lunch and it took way too long to get there.  We went to dinner with Brian and Rylan and then settled into our hotel.   Al gave the boys a tour of his class while I tried to put Brady to sleep.
One of Al's classmates works for Mars in Waco and hooked us up with all this candy.  The boys kept calling him Willy Wonka, haha.
Friday morning I had plans to meet up with Helen so we hit Voodoo before we left to eat some overpriced donuts they didn't really like.  We'll stick to our cheap Asian donut places for the basics.

We finally made it to Hamilton Pools thanks to my reservation but the crappy part was it was closed for swimming, boo!!  It was a very short walk, but so beautiful and fun to see, we walked around it to make sure we enjoyed every last second.
So glad Helen was with me to help with Cole and Alex.  Some girls were snapping our pics and I'm like OMG do they think we are a couple, hahaha.  We totally look like it in this picture.
Real life right here!!
Afterwards we had the most amazing lunch at Clarks Oyster Bar.....Helen might have overestimated how nice it was and that we were in workout clothes and had 3 little kids, but we survived and it was seriously so good.   We had Oysters, amazing bread and butter with radishes, this Lobster roll, and some insane Hamburger, yum.  I love Austin
So so hot, but we walked around, went to Anthro, and Lulu
We went to dinner and the Co Op when Al got out of class.
I could tell he was super stressed about homework, but I talked him into going miniature golfing at Peter Pan in Austin.  I wish I could tell you how hot it was in this picture, but we were all dripping in sweat, so gross and humid.
I feel like Cole and Alex are finally at a good stage in hotel rooms, but Brady put a wrench in that one, haha.  Seriously though the worst but thankfully I had iPads and headphone for them to use while he napped.
The class for the wives was fun and they had free childcare in the room next to us which was even more fun, haha.  It was great to meet more people that Al spends a lot of time with.  It was also great to see where he gets to stay and go to school.  The BBQ was fun and the kids got to swim, I guess it's the pool all the students can use and it was so amazing with lounge chairs and palm trees.  I don't remember having something like that at the U.  UT is kind of a big deal!!

Back To School

I made Al take a back to school picture too, hoping these 2 years go by quick because I'm already dreading the weekends without him.
Cole was so excited to start school that he asked me why he only get's to go 2 days, haha.    He is so much fun and so full of personality.  He always wants to cuddle, gives the best hugs, loves to dance with me, is so silly, and says some of the funniest things.
Since Alex loves to draw and color so much Al told him he should be an Architect.  In Al's MBA class he sits next to an Architect so the boys always ask about him and if they can draw him a picture.  When we went to Austin in September, Alex asked Al if he thought he would draw a picture with him.
Brady will eat anything and try everything, it's amazing.  He woofs baby food at least 3 times a day and I've been giving him most solids in tiny pieces because he still doesn't have the chewing thing down.
Frisco has a Mothers Son dance every year so I bought Alex and I tickets.  I debated about taking Cole too, but thought it would be easier next year when he's almost 5.
It was such a fun night with this sweet boy.  We went to dinner at Chipotle and then had fun dancing at the dance.  He loved the congo line and would wander off and get lost in that.
Cute squishy Brady watching Alex and Cole play tennis, so cute!!
