On Saturday while Al was golfing in St George
Kristin and I went to the pool at the Mirage.
Apparently you have to start saving chairs at 7am and that isn't a joke. Some guy walked by and gave Kristin and I passes to Bare which is their new pool area like Tao Beach. What we didn't know is that they charge you $50 for a chair or you have to buy $50 in drinks, so we didn't stay there long. Plus look at this mini pool with way too many people in it.The crazy thing about laying out in 105 degree weather is that you burn your skin on the chairs and there are NO gaps between the chairs meaning you can get a little cozy with your neighbor. Meet my neighbor(we will call him Joe)
We asked our other neighbors to take a picture of us and she made a joke about taking a pic of her husband. Ya just checking she really took one of him and the one she took of us was deleted shortly after because it sucked. Thats what I get for asking drunk people. You can make all kinds of friends at the pools in Vegas!! It was a good weekend. More fun to come for the 4th of July and NYC next week .

Mangosteens Do A Body Good

Stacy and I did a shot together before we left on Sunday and she was also kind enough to give me a bottle of my own. Then there is Al who thinks all this stuff is a scam, but then again his favorite food is Mac & Cheese:D He wanted to prove Stacy wrong, so he did some research and found out that some top executives from Noni started Xango and got sued. He says Xango is just an overpriced juice that is just as good for you as any other juice.
However I totally disagree with Al and that just means more mangosteens for Stacy and I. I will continue to do my shot a day and in twenty years when I look like I'm 30, Al will look like he's 50. All to the thanks of Mangosteens because they Do A Body Good!!

Zing Zang Zoom
On Friday we drove to Utah AGAIN for Fathers Day and one of Als mission companions wedding. We went to dinner with Al's family and my mom and Ryan. It's quite the production to get 16 people to take a picture together, but here we all are.The wedding was beautiful. They got married and had a reception at Conrad Ranch in Provo Canyon. Congrats Mike & Ashley!!
Afterwards we went and watched Coby's football tournament at BYU. Supposedly the games were only 20 minutes long and they played until they lost. We were there for 3hours and they were still playing when we left, so if I divide 180/20 I watched 9 games. That is more football than I've ever watched in my entire life...lol
My grandma made the best cheesecake ever for Al's birthday. Liz didn't have any candles so we used matches instead. It was so much fun to see everyone. Come visit us in Vegas before the sun cooks us to death.

June Baby
We did a ton of stuff this weekend, but I didn't really take any pictures which is totally unlike me. On Friday night we got to meet up with Stacy at Green Valley Ranch. We got to witness a mean game of beer pong at one of the bars in the casino and the best part was they were playing Zombie by the Cranberries...lol
I thought those games only existed at frat parties, but apparently it's pretty popular.
On Saturday we got to hang out with Ross and his friends at the MGM pool.
First off this picture I found online looks semi relaxing, but I forgot how insane pools are here in the summer. There is thousands of chairs and if you can find empty chairs its comparable to finding gold. The pools and lazy river have the murkiest sickest water...lol Oh and now they have an area called Wet Republic which is like Tao Beach, but it costs $20 to get into. I did hear the music they were playing and it was good HOUSE music!! I also began a hotel key collection . If you come to Vegas make sure you save me your room key, so I will have future access to all pools!!
Al and I shared a $15 VIRGIN strawberry daquiri out of a 3ft tall cup and it was amazing. I don't know why I didn't take pictures. I'm sure most of you have seen the huge cups people carry around on the strip, but I witnessed the biggest one ever today. I was in the elevator and this guy had a full on seat belt thing strapped around his neck and the cup was at least 5ft tall. I asked him where he got it and he said it cost $45 and he didn't remember a thing after he drank it. HAHA Oh man I wish I would've gotten a picture.
We found a park here with grass and trees(that is rare) and decided to use our rollerblades that we once bought for the beach. I used to be a pretty good roller blader when I was younger. I would get my walkmen and listen to my Ace of Base tape. Lets just say I don't remember how to use the brake and ended up in the grass after every hill. Luckily there was grass
Al used to think I was a weirdo for wanting a big bowl of soup, but now he is starting to realize I know all the secrets:)

The Babysitters
The part that gets tricky is I need to convince Al 1. how little dogs are the best and not accessories MEGAN:) 2. how it is necessary to have a dog to train you for kids.Well we were so blessed to be asked to babysit our friends dogs for 9 days and that includes nights. I must have mentioned I really wanted a dog because Kristin told me it would prepare me for when I got my dog. Way to assume the sale.
Being the great friends we are, we took them under our wing and the adventures began. There is Rusty who I keep thinking is a she and I want to rename him Bunny Frou Frou.
I honestly don't know how a dog can have that much hair. You can't even find his collar when you are trying to put on his leash. I kind of want to give Bunny a summer hair cut. This dog is the most well behaved animal I've ever seen. He waits for you to put on his leash, he walks by your side, and he is a great lap dog. I don't like writing he because it should be a SHE...lol It's good Kristin doesn't read this blog. The second dog is CHILE and he is out of control.
He jumps like a kangaroo and runs around in cirlces. I've never seen a dog with so much energy. Even more than Lyric POO Ton:) I don't even like taking it on walks because his leash always manages to get tangled around me. Today he destroyed his chew toy in our living room and Kristin told me he goes through about one a week. I tried to take a picture of both of them, but this is what I got because he will never hold still. The picture above was pure luck.My motherly instincts kicked in and I decided we needed to buy them some bones to occupy their time. It's the best decision I've made since marrying Al because we had peace for at least an hour.
Afterwards Chile was back to his ways of jumping and licking. P.S. Comments are appreciated especially ones that will encourage Al to buy me a Yorkie

When love feels like magic, it's called Destiny. When destiny has a sense of humor, It's called Serendipity ...
Al and I went to the driving range on Saturday and a storm was rolling in so of course I took pics.
Afterwards we went to Serendipity with Chad and Danielle. I had such a good experience with the one in NYC I had to go to this one too. Here are some pics of Tonya and I at the original one in NYC 2006. I remember we had to wait sooo long, so here are some pics of us extremely bored...lol.
The one in Vegas has a totally different atmosphere and they have a window you can walk up to and get frozen hot chocolate to go??Serendipity was fun, but the one in NYC is where it's at. Al doesn't know yet, but someday we're going to have the Golden Opulence Sundae that costs $1,000.00.
If you couldn't tell I've been into taking pictures of food lately. I made Shish Kabobs and Pasta Salad with Asparagus yesterday and they were so good. Al said the pasta salad is how all salads should be because you can customize each bite and there is no lettuce??
