Fun In The Sun

I've been dying to take Alex to the pool since he was born. Last week I bought 100 SPF sunscreen for his fair baby skin. Alex layed on the chair for like 15 minutes and let me take pictures of him in his cute hat and swimsuit that our friends bought for him. I seriously couldn't stop laughing because he looked so relaxed.

In the two years we have lived in California I've never been in this pool because it's always been too cold. That should have been my first clue, but I figured since Alex loves the bath he will love the pool.

I dipped his toes in and this is what happened. I promise I'm not a mean mom.

Our time relaxing in the sun ended shortly after that and we had one unhappy Alex. He was seriously mad the rest of the night. We won't be going to the pool again until it's the perfect temperature for his chubby little body.

Memorial Day 11'

I thought Al had been kidnapped at the Golf Course on Memorial Day, but lucky for him he didn't forget about us. We drove to Malibu for the afternoon and enjoyed the rest of our holiday.

One of the more interesting things we saw was all these people sitting towards this canal?

Directly behind them was this view? Were they confused or did they really come to the beach to stare at a canal? Hmmmm

We put Alex's toes in the sand for the first time. I think he liked it.

Happy Memorial Day 2011

Just Because

A new monthly tradition with Lindsay and Victoria....dinner once a month. First restaurant we ate at was the Melting Pot. I'm hoping for Villa Blanca next month!!

I love this outfit. Since June gloom is approaching he might get to wear the hat more than once.

His baby acne is finally gone....YAY!!

Twenty Eight

Last weekend Al turned 28. There are 3 things that he loves.....Me and Alex (that's a given) and Sports (mainly Golf right now), so we were his caddy for 9 holes. You couldn't have a cuter caddy than Alex.

He slept for half of it and hung out with me in the golf cart for the rest of the time.

Al taught him how to drive at 9 weeks old.

That night I surprised Al with dinner and a movie. Our friends Adam and Victoria watched Alex for us. They are the best, thank you :) Al and I had dinner at Katsuya in Hollywood.

I was hoping we would have a star sighting especially since paparazzi were swarming outside. Instead we just saw lots of people like us looking for stars.

The food was delicous

One of my favorite things was the waiters that came around to empty the edamame bowl. It was empty before we put more shells in. Now that is excellent service!!

One of the best part of our meals was the foie gras. What is foie gras? We didn't know either until we ordered the Kobe Beef with foie gras=duck liver. It was actually really delicious if you don't think about what you're eating.

This never happens, but I forgot my camera. Luckily my iPhone has a decent one so all these pictures were taken with it.

My favorite was the Yellowtail Sashimi topped with Jalapenos. I wish I could eat sushi everyday, but Pregnancy and Breast Feeding put a hold on that. It's a good thing Alex is totally worth it.

After dinner we went to the famous Hollywood Dome to see a movie. We had never seen an Arclight movie and we probably won't go back to regular theaters now. Reserved Seating, Extra leg room, Gourmet concessions, restaurant, a bar, and a gift shop. The people watching is phenomenal. It's full of people who think they're famous, want to be famous, think they're beautiful, want to be beautiful, and then there are the few like me who wander in to see a movie to celebrate a birthday.

It was a wonderful date night.....Thanks again Adam and Victoria for watching Alex :)

Alex's Blessing Day

Albert Alexander Cameron VI was given a name and a blessing by his father. It was a special day that we got to spend with so many of our friends and family. We appreciate everyone who came to support us and Baby Alex.

We decided to bless Alex in Utah so our families and friends could be there. We chose my mom's ward (really hard to not type my home ward, but Al reminds me that California is where my home is).

Thank you so much to everyone that brought food to make a delicous lunch.

Lots of family and friends.....I tried to take a picture of everyone, so I'm sorry if you didn't make the blog :)

Side note.....If you ever need to find Al IV at a party, find a t.v. with sports playing!
