The Life of Whitney and Al

I know all of you are dying to know how Earth day went so here are the pictures. Don't be jealous, but I carried a Trader Joes bag as my purse for Earth Day. We went and saw the Earth movie with Chad and Danielle and went to the best yogurt place ever. BETTER THAN RED MANGO UTAH PEEPS. They have about ten different types of frozen yogurt to choose from including green tea, pomegrante, and plain and its self serve so you can put as much fruit as you want. No stinginess here.

On a side note this movie theatre had the brightest bathrooms I've ever seen. Everything was orange and this picture doesn't even do it justice. You just have to come see for yourselves.

I've wanted to go to a UNLV dance concert for awhile so Al agreed and of course I end up choosing the MODERN ART dance that has been resurrected from 1950 by some guy named Erick Hawkins and it was so LAME. I don't care about what people say about Modern Dance being beautiful and artistic because it isn't dance. Here is a little flier you can read from this oh so bizarro dance.
The second hour was much better with normal dances from normal students that chose normal music.

We got to meet up with Hillary and Sarge in Vegas which was so much fun. We went to the outlets for a bit and Al tried on some Salvatore Ferragamo shoes. He had his first experience with nylons. lol
Hill and I saw some pretty gelato, but lets be honest nothing compares to the real thing in Italy.
My highlight of the weekend was Tao Beach because we got to see Yves Larock which is this way cool DJ. A lot of techno songs have singing, but you never really know who it is, but Larock brought the main guy JABA with him. YEAH!! Google the song "Rise up" by Yves Larock and you will love it too. Tao Beach was insane with freak nasty people in their crazy swimsuits. However the music was AMAZING, but unfortunately we didn't get to stay that long:( Here are some entertaining pics. I'm sure these people would love to know they made it on my blog.

Heres one of Jaba
We chilled at the Venetian pool since it was a little bit more relaxing. Al said I didn't know we were going to a club at 3 in the afternoon.

Here is one of our new friends Kristin and Kris and here is one of the Wynn and Palazzo
Tomorrow I'm starting a new job at Truwest Capital which is a Commerical Real Estate company. I feel like I won the lottery because I've never had such a hard time finding a job. I'm pretty excited to start working again, so all of you that think sitting at home twiddling your thumbs is what you want to do think again.(unless you have kids) The grass is always greener on the other side:) Also I hate to dissapoint all of you, but we will be on a cruise next week eating ourselves to death and basking in the sun so it will be a couple weeks until there is another exciting blog entry into the life of Whitney and Al:) Have a great week!!

Bring On The Heat

It's finally getting hot in Vegas and I love it. Most people complain about it just like when they complain its cold, but heat is the best thing ever even if its 110 degrees. Al says I'm like a Lizard and could lay on a rock all day and soak up the sun which is probably true. The JW Marriott Resort is 5 minutes from our house so I spent my afternoon laying in the sun at their pool yesterday and it was so nice.

It would be great to say I spend everyday like that, but lets be real people even the unemployed have things to do.
On Saturday night Al and I decided to try out miniature golf in Vegas. Of course they don't have an outdoor one which is totally lame. It was a little different than most indoor ones because it was in a little room with way too many people and black lights everywhere. Al decided to put a wager on the table which was if I beat him he would buy me my Tory Burch shoes.
I thought my A game was on, but he beat me my 2. DANG IT. The best part of the night was my shirt. Little did I know it was see through in black lights...HAHAH

On a side note I got another lens for my camera which takes amazing food pictures.
Tomorrow is earth day and I'm excited for the Earth movie. Al and I are going to wear hemp clothes, ride bikes everywhere, and plant a tree . What are you going to do?

Easter Fun

We went to Utah and spent time with the families and friends for Easter. We got to see so many friends and family. I loved it:)
Tonya & Kylee

Danielle who is the cutest pregnant girl ever. She took me to the new Nordstrom Rack and biggest Forever 21 I have ever seen. We had so much fun.

Stacy and Brinkley

My long lost Hilly Bill
I miss all of them sooo much.
Stacy had a chalkboard note as we arrived at the Chateau and the best "HOMEMADE" german chocolate cake with nuts on only half because I don't like them.
On Friday Hillary made us a Peruvian dinner with Goat, quinua and yuca. It was delicious!!

Oh and her famous molten lava cake for dessert and a really hot picture of Al I took.

Afterwards we went to play pool and I got picture happy. Did I mention Al and I won Hillary and Sarge

The best part of the night was watching Hill eat her first root beer float after 18 months.
Easter was great. We went to my moms for a Ranes family breakfast and an Easter egg hunt for Blake.

Blake loves snails and worms so I made a special egg for him with snails. He loved it, lol.

We also dyed eggs and I got another birthday cake. We even talked Liz into dying eggs, but for some reason she only wanted to dye them orange.

For Easter dinner we went to Als grandparents and took Ryan to participate in their annual Easter egg hunt. I was a little jealous because there were so many eggs. This easter egg hunt is amazing.

Happy Easter from us!!
