11-11-11

On 11/11/11 we went to the USC Basketball game and got a ticket, hot dog, and a drink for $11....I love good deals!!

Basketball isn't a big deal at USC like Football, but it was still fun especially since I actually understand it.

The game started an hour past Alex's bedtime which I hate breaking, but he loved it and did great.

We tried on a baby jersey and it was so cute. He looks like a big toddler to me in this pic....where did my little baby go? He's only 7 months! Last weekend he fell on our tv stand and got a goose egg which you can see on his forehead. I have a feeling that there will be more of those to come.

Last stop of the night....Yogurtland. Hmmm which ones are Al and Coby's? Al was holding Alex and I looked over and his head was bobbing because he was soooo tired. Time for bed!

Saturday morning we made our way to the The Donut Man which I've heard so much about.

I'm not a big Donut fan, but they were so good I ate 2. No more Donut Man for me :)

Bottega Louie

How have I lived in LA for 2 years and never been to Bottega Louie? The 4,000 reviews and 4 out of 5 stars on Yelp were right.....it's amazing. When you walk inside you walk up to this pretty gold desk where the hostess greets you.

Everything is very open with high white ceilings. There is a wide range of people from businessmen, moms with kids, college students, etc.

Alex was on his best behavior and chewed on spoons and straws while we ate our yummy lunch.

Victoria and I shared the Mache salad

and Burrata Pizza. Both were amazing.

Victoria tried to take a pic of Alex and I, but this is the best I got.

The best part is all the beautiful desserts you get to stare at when you first walk in.

Sweet Sixteen

My brother Ryan stayed with us last weekend and played in a Frisbee Golf Tournament. It just so happened it was his 16th Bday weekend too. Turns out the VERY first Frisbee Golf course is 10 minutes from our house, who knew?

We ate lots of Subway (Ryan's favorite) and Alex ate lots of baby cereal that dissolve in his mouth (the ONLY thing he will eat).

His tournament ended up getting cancelled so Ryan went to church with us and loved every minute.

We went to dinner at PF Changs with our Uncles Ben and David to celebrate his big birthday.

He talked us into playing a round of Frolf at the VERY first Frisbee Golf Course which is called Oak Grove.

It was really cold so that's why Alex is in pajamas and I'm in sweats.

That night we played Monopoly. I've never played an entire game of Monopoly. I knew it took a long time, but 2 hours?

Coby mortgaged all his properties and lost everything.

Ryan was in jail half the game so that left Al and I. Al hates to lose especially to me so this meant I had to beat him.

and guess what? I won

That's right.....I WON!!! Best Monopoly game ever :)

I made Ryan his favorite dessert which is Key Lime Pie. Al and Coby won't eat anything that's not chocolate so I made them a chocolate pie.

The morning before Ryan left which was his birthday we took him to see the Hollywood sign. He was secretly wishing it was a frisbee golf course, but I thought he should see one touristy thing before he left.

We took him to a lunch of his choice which was the worlds oldest operating McDonald's. They even have a museum with McDonald's memorabilia

Alex

Alex keeps us busy and here are some things we've been up to lately. He loves to give kisses especially to stuffed animals and his Thingamajig.

Posing and drinking from his sippy cup. Now that he crawls and stands up against stuff he doesn't pose as much.

The TV stand is his favorite thing to stand against. I think he knows his fingerprints all over the glass drive me crazy!!

Our daily visit to Target....maybe this picture is a sign we go too much.

Burrowed in his crib bumper which always makes me a little worried, but he likes it.

This is the first time he sat in a high chair at a restaurant with us which was so nice. He loved the miso soup bowl and was banging it on the table. Yep we were those people.

Relaxing

One of the worst blow outs ever. Luckily Al was home to help and don't worry I won't post the picture without his shirt.

Hiking

Alex loooves Al's bike which used to be displayed in our living room. Alex loved to climb on it and play with the chain. One day I caught him red handed with his hands and face covered in bike grease.
