Good news everyone we are back from our California cruise without the swine flu and with 474 pictures. I have no idea how I'm going to sort through them and post my favorites on this blog, but I will have to manage. To begin our trip we had been on the freeway for about 10 minutes when we saw this girl slam into the median. It was so scary and she is so lucky she was ok. Of course I snapped some non discrete pictures. Here is Al slowing down traffic

We arrived at the Port Saturday afternoon and saw people like this. Thats our friend Ross in the middle...lol

We got a sweet handicap room and I say that with sincerity because our room was huge. We had ramps everywhere and a seat in our shower!! How much more luxorious does life get??

Our ship had so many pools and hot tubs and a lot of elderly people. Al kept joking about it being The Jerry Atrick ship. Al of course loved all the pizza, hot dogs, fries, and hamburgers.

Our first amazing stop was Santa Barbara and we were luckily there before those horrible fires started. The fog was so bad that day we couldn't dock until noon which totally sucked, but whats worse than not going to Mexico:)

Alas the fog cleared and we walked all over the place.

We found a fun Cinco De Mayo festival going on. Vendors were selling tons of these pretty decorated eggs filled with confetti and Al corrected me and said they are called Cascarones.

They even had Obama ones.

I had this amazing Avocado salad on State Street and got bored watching sports, so I took some pictures of beer.

It was a beautiful day and we had a lot of fun.
Our next stop was San Diego. Al and I decided to go to the San Diego Zoo and it was fantastic!

So many fun animals. I will beign with my personal favorites the giraffes and elephants. The elephants were doing circus tricks when we got there. I loved it.

The Koalas were very entertaining. I have no idea how they sleep in the trees like that.

Al saw Puma from Lion King

Hungry Hungry Hippos

The gorillas which were so fun to watch even when they had their butt turned to you.

Loved these weird hairy camels. The one on the right has foam coming out of his mouth.

This Zoo is so big they have a tram that takes you from one end to the other..

Goodbye San Diego

Hello San Francisco. This picture was taken off our balcony.

We did sooo much this day. We went to Alcatraz

Ghiradelli Square. Al had the best sundae EVER!! I don't really like ice cream and I couldn't stop eating it.

We met up with my BF Curtis from Highschool and walked to Lombard Street.

Then we walked to China Town which I don't feel like uploading pictures of because they are taking extremely long to upload because my new camera apparently takes HUGE pictures.
I will post a picture of the most amazing mall we went to by Union Square. It was like good ol Crossroads in SLC, but 8 stories and so many escalators going everywhere. I made Al go to the top floor with me and ride them all the way down....lol

We then walked all the way back to the ship which was at Pier 27. In case you were wondering it starts at Pier 1 1/2. My legs still hurt from walking.

It was really cool to go under the Golden Gate Bridge on a cruise ship.

The last day on the ship Al loaded up on Pizza and we relaxed in the sun just like these people.

Here is a pic with our dinner friends.

The best ice cream dessert ever that had fire in the middle.

and the full moon above the ocean.

Some of my favorite highlights from the cruise. All the Mexico souveneirs that were 50% off

The frog leg dinner. I'm usually pretty good about trying foods, but the fact that the frog legs still looked liked the frog legs wasn't working for me. I tried it anyway, but it was a little bland

Al eating 3 or 4 desserts every night

Formal Nights

The String chortet which reminded of our wedding, but we only ended up with two because the chello players water broke.

Bingo because one At Sea Day it was really cold. We have our own Dabber now. I might start up a new hobby in Las Vegas.

And this random guy that was a cruise port walker(just like a mall walker) We had to wait for my uncle Ben to come get us and I kept seeing this guy walk past us. I finally figured out that he was a cruise port walker and this picture was taken around the 20th time he walked by us. Bless his heart.

If you are still reading you are a true Al and Whitney blog lover and I appreciate it because I just spent two hours on this...lol Although we didn't go to Mexico we had a blast and Princess gave everyone half of what you spent towards another cruise.
