Before I left work everyone was telling me how you can't leave food in your car because the bears will break into your cars. I started laughing and was like ya right you guys are so full of it. Turns out they were right and you have to store all your food, toiletries, chapstick, gum, basically anything that smells good in these Bear lockers. A ranger came over and told us a bear had smashed someones back window in earlier that day, CRAZY. Thank goodness for bear lockers.
Al is so proud of our new pop up tent that takes 30 seconds to set up.

I can't even begin to describe how amazing Yosemite is. It is one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. Everywhere you turn there is something that takes your breath away. This a view of Yosemite Falls which is the tallest waterfall in North America.

Here we are at the lower part of Yosemite falls.
We hiked pretty close to it, but it was hard to take pictures because there was so much spray coming off of the fall.
Al with Half Dome in the background. Half Dome is a 17 mile hike and you end up on the very top of it. You have to get a permit to hike it and it's full the rest of the summer.
So breathtaking.
Yosemite falls again. We hiked to the lower part.
This was our first time camping since we've been married. We decided to make tin foil dinners and were a little worried at how they would turn out. He wanted hamburger and I wanted chicken, but we settled for Filet Mignon...haha
Suprisingly they turned out PERFECT and were delicous.
Of course we had dessert. Here is Al perfecting his Reeses smores.
We slept great in our pop up tent and no Bears attacked us during the night. We got up early the next morning so we could explore Yosemite before we had to drive back home.

We hike to Bridal Veil Falls. It blew Provo Canyons Bridal Veil Fall out of the water, even before the landslide.
It was a really hard hike, all .3 mile of it.

This is my favorite place I found off the side of the road. This meadow is straight out of Twilight. I was going to make Al lay down with me and act out a scene, but there was water everywhere. Instead we ate lunch and soaked in the beautiful scenery.
This view was at our next hike Glacier Point. Half Dome is in the background.
We already have plans to go back to Yosemite and hike Vernal falls which is the lower fall in the picture below.

Our last hike of the day was Mariposa Grove.
These are Mariposa trees that are thousands of years old. They are HUGE.
This is the famous tunnel tree that was carved out in 1895 for stage coaches to go through
Al thought he found the biggest pine cone ever
but then I found this beauty. I saw one fall from a tree and I thought it was going to take out a hiker.

I loved loved loved Yosemite. We are definately going back soon!!
I'll be honest these ones were a little creepy. They kind of looked like a bride and groom back from the dead. Notice the different pose
This month they have biker mannequins and some days they have 3 out and some days they have 4. 
It definatley makes my commute worth it because I always wonder what the mannequins will be up to. I'm excited to see what he dresses them up as in August. I can hardly handle the anticipation.
Green Oranges? Lets hope those get ripe before they are sold.
Al gets really intense when he's on road trips. He hates stopping to get gas, food, or letting me go to the bathroom. He is obsessed with making good time...lol Has anyone seen the Bubble Boy Seinfeld where George is making really good time and he won't slow down for Jerry and Elaine? It's just like that with Al. I have a weak bladder and had to go to go to the bathroom 2 hours outside of LA. I held it as long as I could and timed it perfect because while we were on Highway 99 I started seeing these signs for a Cheese Factory 5 miles away and they appeared every mile until the exit. I looked at Al and I could tell he wanted to keep going, but he stopped for me. HOORAY I love cheese. 
We sampled some cheeses and they were delicous.
They had so many different olives which I would have loved to look at, but I was on a very STRICT schedule...hahah
Outside of the factory they have a petting zoo and the most ridiculous decorations you have ever seen. Every square inch was covered in random trinkets.

Yay for Donkeys. Next time we drive by the Cheese Factory I want to go on a tour.
