NYC Madness

The last day we were in NY we went to the 911 Memorial.
It's pretty surreal to stand there and think that the twin towers were standing there 10 years ago.
Alex was already having a rough day.....4 days of no sleep had caught up to him.
Ross, Lacie, Alex, Me, and Al
This is the Survivor Tree that was one of the only living things that made it out of the rubble.
Alex having a melt down and Ross catching us in the moment.
Big Al's Pizza.  We should have had a slice.
We decided to go on boat rides that afternoon in Central Park. On our way we walked by where John Lennon was killed.
How great is this view?  I was so excited to finally go on a boat ride in Central Park, but was quickly let down when we saw the long line.
Al told me I could drive the little boats, but that's totally not the same.
Instead of boat rides we went to Laduree Bakery and had some macaroons.
They aren't chocolatey enough for Al, so Alex and I shared one.
That night we went to a Yankees game.  The last 2 times we have been to NY they had away games, so it was fun to finally go and see the new stadium.  Plus it was Al's parents 30th Wedding Anniversary, so it was extra special.
I don't think I ever want to go to another Dodgers game.  We had padded seats and a waitress that came around to see if we wanted food or drinks
Alex used some chopsticks to eat french fries.  He learned how to dip chips and salsa a few weeks ago at a Mexican restaurant so naturally he loves to dip fries in ketchup.

On our way back to the hotel Alex plugged his ears on the Subway and fell asleep, lol.
The next day we went to watch Good Morning America before we went to the airport.   Misty May and Dana Vollmer were there showing off their gold medals.
They handed out goofy sunglasses for everyone to wear during Misty Mays interview.
They were going to film Alex during one of the breaks, but he started crying so they moved the camera, but we still made it on tv.
Alex was so happy to get in the cab and go to sleep in his car seat.
One last slice of pizza before we went home.  I think I'm good on pizza for awhile :)

Baseball

Al played in a baseball game last weekend.  On our way we stopped at In N Out and Alex ate his grilled cheese like a big boy.
Al is the only guy I know that can still fit into his high school baseball pants from 12 years ago.  He put them on, I laughed and said you haven't gained an ounce in 12 years?
Alex was in heaven playing and running around in the dirt, nightmare.
Al was back in his element until he hurt his knee at the end of the game.  He could barely walk for 2 days so he went to an orthopedic surgeon and found out he tore his MCL :(   The bad news is he has an Ironman in 5 weeks and the good news is a torn MCL only takes 3 weeks to heal.  Cross your fingers for Al that his knee heals fast and he can finish the race without coming home in a wheelchair.
Why do boys like dirt?
Baseball player in training. Love my Al's

Where Dreams Come True

In honor of me starting a full time job tomorrow, Al was kind enough to take me to Disneyland to celebrate my last few days of freedom. Ideally I would like a season pass, but I haven't talked him into that yet.
There wasn't too many characters out that didn't have long lines, so Pluto is the only one I managed to flag down. When we have kids....hopefully girls, it will be the best excuse to stand in line and take pictures with all my favorites...Ariel, Bell, Sleeping Beauty, and Alice:)
Who has seen Captian EO? So random, but I loved it. Michael Jackson looks normal.
I love this picture...lol Al and I were so focused trying to beat each other we didn't notice the camera. Al killed me, but he also cheated. He discovered that the blue triangles are worth way more and that's the only reason he won. Next time I'm totally winning.
Best corn dogs ever and there is only one place to find them. Ask me for more details next time you go to Disneyland.
The lines were so awesome. The longest we waited was 20 minutes.
This looks just like the 5
I love Disneyland
Last time Al and I were at Disneyland It's A Small World was closed for remodeling.
Does anyone know why they remodeled? Well apparently people were gaining too much weight and the boats were sinking to the bottom. The boats are more bouyant now and can hold all those lbs.
Uploading takes way too long sometimes and collages are much easier.
The best churros station is right in front of the Matterhorn.
Bored in line....admiring our matching shoes.
Winnie The Pooh
Al and I can't handle rides that twirl in circles, so we had to resort to the fake teacup picture.

We are playing in a coed softball league this summer, so Al took me to the batting cages and gave me hitting lessons. I think it was more for him, but that's ok.
He should have gone pro.
