Mazatlan

Our second stop was Mazatlan. They dropped us off in the middle of a shipping yard, how convenient.
A huge Corona factory that I'm sure employs a lot of people.
Instead of the ice cream truck they have the ice cream rolling cart. They should totally play Mexican music.
We hired a driver for the day and our first stop was the cliff divers. There are a few divers that dive off this rock when tons of tourists are there for the day. After they dive they walk over to you and ask for you for tips. They aren't shy at all!! They must love when cruise ships come in because there was tons of people there giving them $20's and $50s
Here is one guy getting ready to dive.
Here he goes
sloooo
oooooo
oooooo
oooooow motion.
It totally looked like he was going to hit the rocks everytime. It freaked me out.
Al and Coby were going to hike up the rock, but then we decided the divers would probably get mad. Al and Ariel. It looks exactly like that scene in Litlte Mermaid where she sings Part of Your World. Her hair just needs to be longer:) Next stop, The Golden Zone where all the hotels, shops, and restaurants are located. On our way we drove by this really cool building. Our driver told us it's a nightclub, crazy right?
Lexi and I went horseback riding on the beach. I think mine looked more like a donkey. My horse wouldn't listen to a thing. The Mexican guys would say "kick his side and he will go," so I would do that and NOTHING. The best thing was our saddles. They were like booster chairs in the form of saddles. Definatley one of the more interesting horseback rides I've been on.
Chad and Coby rented wave runners, so the rest of us hung out at some random pool our driver said we could swim in. This time it wasn't a 5 star resort, but it was so hot none of us cared. CANNONBALL

We had lunch at another authentic Mexican restaurant.
Al 4 trying to pay with Pesos and Dollars. After lunch we met up with our driver and he showed us downtown Mazatlan. This is the fish market. Tons of seafood ready to be sold in big plastic bowls.
There were shoe shiners everywhere. If I wasn't wearing flip flops I would have stopped. Cathedral Of The Immaculate Conception.
The inside is beautiful. Street Vendors
All of us were dying of thirst, so we stopped and got these amazing fruit drinks. Ours had chunks of watermelon in it. I loved it. Al, Lexi, and Coby
A truck driving by with tons of chicken scraps in it. It must happen all the time because everyone was perfectly fine with it. We walked through a market the driver suggested. It had some very interesting smells going on.
Al found a Costco size bag of pork rinds.
I seriously couldn't breathe in the market and then we found the meat section and that's when it all made sense. Those poor little pigs.
I serioulsly have no idea what they do with the head and look at all those hooves....so gross We were laughing because Al 4 wants these Nike shoes that look just like a pig hoof. They separate your big toe from the rest of your toes.

Apparently they like to eat feet because there were also piles of chicken feet everywhere.
More random stuff.
Al 4 getting sold on some jersey. The lady would not leave him alone. Rule #1 Don't ever act interested. Mazatlan was interesting to say the least. I'm not sure if I would go back, but if I do I'm eating vegetables and fruit everyday!! Get ready for CABO!!
