Before we went to Mexico which I will post pictures of soon we went to this really famous Armenian restaurant in Glendale called Raffis. Everytime I tell someone I live in Glendale the first question is....Are you Armenian?? It's kind of like when I tell people I grew up in Utah and the first question is.....Are you....and I say Mormon? I'm not really sure why there are so many Armenians in Glendale, but all I know is that they drive really nice cars and keep them clean like me. At least we have that in common, the clean part that is.
Everyone that has told me about Raffi's forgot to mention it's all outside seating. It just so happened the night we went it was freezing cold (for California), so they had the heat lamps on and I'm so glad I wore my coat. Instead of giving you a basket of bread to snack on they give you these tortillas, greenery, radishes, and onion. None of us were really sure what to do with it, so we just rolled it up like a taco and pretended we all knew what was going on.
We also ordered the hummus which was ok, but they didn't serve it with pita bread, so our only option was the tortillas.
There entire menu is full of shish kabobs and salads. Luckily we asked how big the entrees are and the picture below is my half. At first I thought that was cheese on the rice, but its just orange colored rice.....who knew.

I asked some guy in front of the restaurant to take our picture and he asked where are you from? As soon as I said we live in Glendale he asked.....Are you Armenian? Ha do I look least bit Armenian? I wish I had olive skin and dark hair. I think he was a little out of it because our picture seems to be a little lop sided
After our big Armenian dinner we decided to play Operation. If you ever come over to our house and want to play a game, chances are it will be Chutes & Ladders, Candy Land, or Operation. None of us had played Operation in years, so we had to brush up on the rules of the game. Here we all are.
Al using all those hours spent in the OR watching surgeries.... Now was his chance to shine

I on the other hand just wanted to get it over with because I haaaate when the nose buzzes at you. Al was the big winner of Operation.
Al and I got to meet up with my cousin Elisha who I haven't seen in a few years. She was in Woodland Hills with her track team, so we went and had dinner with her at BJs
Elisha is awesome at sports....obviously I didn't get that Ranes gene. I found this picture online of her, hope she doesn't mind:) Good to see you Elisha!!
