The Big 26
My birthday was this past week and Al and I had the best day ever celebrating. First he gave me my birthday present which I am so excited about. The Nikon D90 SLR
Most of you know I love taking pictures and now this habit has only gotten worse:)
Al took me to the Ritz Carlton at Lake Las Vegas and we had breakfast overlooking the courtyard. It was a perfect day and our breakfast was delicious.

After breakfast we rode a paddle boat around Lake Las Vegas. It was way better than the pond at Liberty Park.
We saw some amazing houses including the guy who started ebay. His is first

After our workout for the day we got ready for my big birthday dinner and Al wouldn't tell me where it was. Drum Roll.......We went to Okada at the Wynn. It was some of the best sushi I've ever had including our $38 lobster roll. Oh and random fact Okada is named after Steve Wynns biggest investor.

I didn't want to go home after dinner so we randomly decided to walk down Fremont Street and try out my new camera. Here are some pics

Twice a night they have a music video projected on the ceiling. They played We Will Rock You.
I saw a sign for Fannie Packs which I was pretty excited about. I was hoping they would be flourescent like my one in elementary school days.
Last of all best of all we finally tried the oxygen bar. It was invigorating until someone walked by and blew cigarette smoke in your face.
It was the best birthday ever thanks to my wonderful HUSBAND ALBERT!! I have a ton of pictures to post of Easter in Utah, but you will just have to wait.

From Pahrump to LAX
This past week I went on a road trip with Al to one of his Drs offices in a little town called Pahrump. As you enter the city you are greeted by a billboard that says the Precious Slut. Obvioulsy this isn't a typical billboard you would see in any city, but in a town where prostitution is legal you see all sorts of eye catchers. There is The Kingdom on the main road that looks like a mini Excalibur and a Brothel Art Museum. I'm definately going to ask Al if we can go back to see the museum...NOT

All in all I will give Pahrump 2 stars for their Mexican Restaurant called Su Mesa which was delicious. Thats about the only thing worth going to Pahrump for unless you like tricks.
On Friday we got free tickets to Gavin Rossdale at LAX. Al and I both loved Bush in highschool so we were excited to see dreamy Gavin. After the 2 hour wait Gavin played four amazing acoustic songs and then it was time to go home. I was hoping for at least an hour performance, but apparently he thinks he's Elvis or something.

Oh and the Luxor casino has reached a new heights with girls dancing in the pit.
Al and I were really bored the other night, so we decided to go buy two must have board games...Chutes and Ladders and Monopoly. We were both disappointed by the new board design on Chutes and Ladders, so I called my mom to see if she still had mine. Negative on that one, but I will find it on ebay.
We are going to SLC for Easter weekend, so I talked Al into dying eggs with me tonight. I must admit I'm pretty excited and have loved Easter ever since I was little.
I am also sooo excited to see one of my good friends HILLARY that just got home from her mission in Peru. See you soon my friend:)

Spring Is Here
This is kind of a lame post, but I love my new sandals so much I decided to write a blog about them. First off I love wearing sandals and hate wearing socks one reason being lint that gets stuck between your toes. I find black lint everyday from Als work socks all over the place. Second I hate socks because your toes can't wiggle and breathe. Third I hate socks because that means the weather is cold or you have ugly feet, but at least you're not showing them to the world. Anyway sandals are great and especially my new gladiator sandals that I'm going to wear everywhere, even bed!!

Baby You Can Drive My Car
Last weekend my mom finally came to visit us in Las Vegas. She hasn't been since Circus Circus was "the hotel." My oh my how things have changed:) We started the weekend off with sushi at the Social House at Treasure Island. Not the best sushi, but really cool atmosphere.

Afterwards we took her to the Foundation room at the Mandalay Bay for one of the best views in Vegas.

On Friday morning we went to breakfast at Peppermill. This was all of our first experience eating at Peppermill and it was hilarious. Everything is decorated in the tackiest 70s things you could find including the napkins, but I must admit there breakfast is amazing.

The highlight of the weekend was going to see Love at the Mirage. It was awesome. They played all the best Beatles songs including "Baby You Can Drive My Car" and there was so much dancing unlike all the other Cirque shows. Loved it!!

Later we took her to club XS which is still the best club ever even if there is sick nasty girls that need to wear pants their size!!

I told my mom we would hit at least 5 malls before she went home so on Saturday we went to the Forum Shops at Caesars and then topped it off with a stop to Circus Circus to watch one of the acts. That place is one big germ fest. I wanted to take a shower afterwards and I don't think we will be going back anytime soon.

Of course we took her to the Bellagio to see the conservatory and watch the fountains. The flowers were beautiful and right now they have a butterfly house you can walk through.

It was so windy when we were watching the fountains the water would blow back at everyone, so we could only handle one show before we were soaking wet.
On Sunday we took Rebecca to our Sunday school class and then went to Hoover Dam afterwards.

After sittin in Dam traffic we went to dinner at Ruths Chris for my moms Birthday!! Ruths Chris is sooo different here. I felt like I was eating dinner in the game Clue. Totally different atmosphere, but the food is still just as good.
You might think this entry is extremely long, but we did a ton. That night we went to Blue Man Group which was as weird as ever.
I've always wanted to get a picture with this Humpty Dumpty in the Venetian, so here it is:)

On Monday we ended the trip at the famous Welcome to Vegas sign and Town Square which is a fun mall to hang out at when the weathers nice. The airport is like 5 minutes away, so the airplanes fly over the mall and it is crazy how close they get. We also saw the biggest dog ever so I had to take a picture. I think it's half horse.

Thanks for coming to visit us in Vegas mom. See you in a few weeks!!
