I was a little bummed we couldn't spend Easter in Utah with my mom, so I made sure we had extra Easter festivities at our house. We dyed eggs which Al acts like he doesn't enjoy, but then his eggs are always the most creative.
I don't like to use our cups/mugs to dye eggs. I always feel like the dye is going to turn my pretty ivory mugs some random Easter color.
Here is Al probably saying something like how many eggs are left? Are we done yet?

The final product.....we only dyed 12, but all the better because the colors are always more vibrant the first time you use the dye.
My prize winning Triathalon egg I made Al. I did it in the wrong order, but if you can't tell what my stick figures are doing....run, bike, swim. That clear crayon is always a litle tricky to draw a masterpiece, but somehow I managed.
Easter baskets!! I had to improvise this year since my real basket is at my moms house. I'll admit I was a little bummed since my basket is the best and biggest Easter basket you will ever see. Maybe I'm too old for an Easter basket, but since we don't have kids yet it seems like the smart thing to do. Here they are.....
For Easter dinner we went to my Uncle Jons house in Menifee which is in the Inland Empire. I love saying that because it makes me sound really cool like I'm from California. We rode with my Uncle David, Uncle Ben, and his wife Gesia. When we got off the freeway we were sitting at a stop light and the car started shaking. It went on for a minute or so with accusations like Al stop bouncing the car or OMG the wind is so bad out here, but then we looked at the car next to us while they shook their heads and said it's an earthquake. It went on for another minute or so while cars pulled over, but don't worry we kept driving. Earthquakes don't stop the Ranes/Cameron families. I survived my second earthquake in a matter of weeks and I'm not liking them any better. In fact it makes me want to pack all our stuff and move somewhere where no earthquakes, hurricanes, tsunamis, or tornadoes happen. It also makes me want to buy food storage, but we barely have enough room for our real food, so that is another issue. We had so much fun at Jons house. His kids which are my cousins are getting so big!! Cute little Cassidy.

I obviously wasn't thinking about how it would look sitting on our dresser or the fact that everything in Costco looks smaller because it's in a huge warehouse. Anyway this is what we ended up with....it looked soooo ridiculous I couldn't help but laugh. It was like being at the movies front row. Al was all about it....in fact he would have got a 50 inch if I would have let him.
I wasn't all about it, so we went back the next day and settled for a 27inch which looks perfect. Luckily Costco has a good return policy. Moral of the story....Don't be Greedy
I love our new bedding. After countless hours spent looking at bedding, I finally decided on this porcelain blue quilt from Pottery Barn along with the Euro shams and yellow throw pillows. I think it turned out pretty good since we don't have a pretty head board or a wall that isn't white!
My mom mailed me a little silver Norstrom box, balloons, and confetti. Thanks Mom!!
& she bought me a pre birthday orchid when she was here a few weeks ago.
I laid out at the pool for a couple of hours which was so nice because it is supposed to be in the 60's for the next two weeks. Booo
Al took me to dinner at Koi in Hollywood on Restaurant Row. On our way we saw Spiderman on Hollywood Blvd crouched down on a newspaper stand, so random.
Koi was everything I imagined it would be. Beautiful ambiance, amazing decor, delicous food, and the best remixed music. Here is the front door
We sat in the main dining room by the sushi bar. There are 4 or 5 different rooms you can sit in and they are all so pretty. Apparently no one in Hollywood goes to dinner until after 9pm. Our reservations were for 7:30 and we were seriously like the 3rd table there...lol When we were leaving Bentleys, Limos, and Mercedes were rolling up and the place was packed. I was hoping we would see a star since the place is supposedly always surrounded by paparazzi.
Our seared tuna appetizer topped with jalapeno and garlic chips. These pictures would be a lot better if I would have used my flash, but I felt so dumb taking pictures of my food with all the trendy beautiful Hollywood people around...lol

My tastebuds were so happy at this point I didn't know if dessert would make a difference. We ordered the molten lava cake and chocolate crem brulee. Along with my dessert two waitresses sang the best Happy Birthday serenade EVER. That's what you get in Hollywood....aspiring singers and actresses.
The chocolate Creme Brulee was indescribable. I have no idea how they got the chocolate in there, but every bite was just as good as the first and the raspberries were the best ones Al and I have ever had.
Lets just say it was the best birthday ever. Thanks for everything you do Al!!
Of course I had everyone do their best Blue Steel and it was hard to decide whose was best because everyone is really, really ridiculously good looking. Aaron & Celia
We are still debating on what to watch next month, but I'm sure it will be something great!! My last random picture is a guy riding his bike. I took this picture to make sure Al knows what happens if your shorts get to worn out or possibly too small for your butt. Poor guy....hopefully he never sees this blog.
