Life In The Bumbo

Oh We Love The Bumbo. I was so excited when I got a Bumbo at one of my showers. Al tried to tell me I would never use it and bla bla bla, but he already knows he's wrong after the last couple weeks. This is one of the first times I sat Alex in the Bumbo. He wasn't too sure at first but now he loves to sit in it and look around.

Sometimes he's serious in the Bumbo.

Sometimes the Bumbo gets him excited as you can tell by the drool on his shirt.

The Bumbo makes him laugh

Sometimes it makes him think

He helps me do chores around the house in the Bumbo

He watches T.V. with Dad in the Bumbo

he eats dinner with us every night in the Bumbo

and if he's cold in the Bumbo I just wrap a blanket around him.

Boy oh boy do we love the Bumbo. I've heard babies love to get a bath in it too, but since he is still pooping in the tub every night we will be holding off on that. Here's to the Bumbo!!

Berries

On Kristin's last day in LA she wanted to pick Blueberries. Al was excited because it got him out of going with me.

Alex passed out in the Bjorn while we picked.

This year you could pick Raspberries too, but it was hard because they were all at the bottom and Alex didn't it like it when I leaned over to pick them...lol

we couldn't leave without feeding the goats.

I thought I had every inch of Alex protected from the sun, but as you can see below the right side of his face got a little sun. Luckily he's a good sport and just kept smiling.

Oh and while I was feeding him in the car I sent Al this picture of Alex because Hangover is one of our favorite movies. Every time I put Alex in a hat I think he looks like the baby in that movie.

Trading Post

Kristin and I had been talking about going to the Melrose Trading Post since she moved here last October. The Melrose Trading Post is an antiques and collectibles market held every weekend in Hollywood. Personally I would say 50% of it was junk.

Me with my sidekick Alex. So glad June gloom was in effect because it gets hot carrying him around in the Bjorn.

The only thing I really enjoyed looking at was the furniture.

This is where I question the word collectibles. Pieces of a dolls body?

My favorite trees in LA which I just learned are Jacarandas.

The most interesting thing I saw was piles of old pictures and there were tons of people rummaging through them. I'm not really sure why you would want random pictures of people you don't know, but apparently there is a use for them in Hollywood.

The best part of the market was this....never ever would I get a massage here.

Afterwards we got ice cream at the famous Mashti Malones. They are known for their Rosewater ice cream which we sampled, but quickly declined since it really tasted like a Rose.

You can buy the Rosewater ice cream at Whole Foods along the West Coast...I might give it a try again someday.

10 Years Later

Al went to Texas for his 10 year highschool reunion last weekend. While he was basking in the hot Texas sun we were left at home to fend for ourselves. I made him promise that he would take pictures and even let him use my camera for 6 days which is a WAY big deal. I wasn't really surprised when I looked at my camera and saw the same pictures that were on it when I gave it to him. Luckily Brayden's fiance Stephanie took a few!!

This was Kristins last weekend in L.A. so we lived it up and tried to do a bunch of stuff before she left. I took her to Descanso Gardens and it was just as pretty as I remembered.

Visitors

Last week Al's friend Brian and his family were in town. It's always fun to have friends come visit and show them around L.A.

Our first stop was Santa Monica

Alex was loving it, but hey who wouldn't love to be pushed around in a stroller.

You can't have friends in town and not take them to Venice. The people watching was in rare form.
