MoMmY & Me

Last week Daisy and I took our babies to a Mommy & Me class. I didn't know quite what to expect, but Alex loved it. My favorite was the instructor that uses a doll as an example.

They had a bunch of swings they bring out at the end which Alex loved. There was this weird gym mat that a bunch of babies laid on. Alex was too mobile for it, so we moved onto the others.

This was his favorite. Maybe I will have Al install one in his room.

He couldn't stop laughing in the jumper which was hilarious.

We will definitely be going back for more Mommy & Me time.

Halloween 2011

On Halloween I talked Al into taking us to a Pumpkin Patch to buy Alex a baby pumpkin and to mostly take pictures.

He wasn't sure about the hay.

One Big Happy Cameron Family

The highlight of Al's visit to the pumpkin patch was racing Coby on the blowup obstacle course. They tied the first time and Al won the second.

We had a yummy Halloween dinner at Mi Piace in Old Town and watched everyone down Colorado in their costumes. I had the best Butternut Squash Ravioli and Alex had the best table cloth/napkin ever.

Always shredding paper and grabbing everything off the table. Going out to dinner is getting more complicated by the day....lol

After dinner we put on his costume and went around to all the stores on Colorado and got candy. Happy Halloween!!

My Little Duck

Alex and I got invited to a neighborhood Mommy/Baby Party. I wanted to take some pictures of him in his costume before we went, but he wasn't very happy.

The two ladies on my right live next door and their babies are only a couple months younger than Alex. Yolanda's baby was wearing the same costume as Alex and two moms asked me how old she was referring to Alex? That was the first time anyone has ever called him a girl and it happened twice in a matter of 10 minutes. I think he looks like a boy and I think a duck costume is gender neutral, so I was confused.

Alex looooved this little girl (I'm so bad with names) so much he crawled up to her and gave her a big open mouth kiss....lol I could be in trouble if that's already happening at 7 months. How cute is her costume....she was a Wish Upon A Star.

After our party with baby food party favors we had another photo shoot that was just as unsuccessful as the first.

Now that he's mobile he's just not into my picture taking anymore.

Trunk Or Treat

When did Trunk or Treats get so big and why weren't they around when I was a kid? It's the safest and fastest way to get candy....really it's genius. We hadn't been to our new ward yet and thought it might be a little strange showing up to Trunk or Treat so we had one last Hoorah with the Glendale 1st ward and went to theirs. Luckily I have creative friends and stole this costume idea from my friend Tonya. Alex as a duck and Al and I as duck hunters.

This picture is wrong in so many ways, but we thought it would be funny to throw Alex up in the air and "pretend" to shoot our duck. Maybe no one is laughing except for us.....

There was a eat the donut off a string contest which was hilarious to watch

and a eat a powdered donut and don't lick your lips contest which most people including Al were able to do.

There was a spook alley the YW and YM put together. Aaron watched Alex for Al and I while we went on a 10 minute date and left some pics on my phone for me. Thanks Aaron

Uncle Coby took Alex around to the trunks and got candy for us.

Pumpkins or Baseball

Last week we carved pumpkins with our friends Aaron and Celia. Of course I picked the only night the World Series was on, so it was really like Celia and I carved pumpkins together. If you asked Al right now if we carved pumpkins a week ago he would probably say no because all he was thinking about was Baseball.

and this time with the lights out. Yay for fall festivities.....now if only the weather would feel like fall so I could wear sweaters and boots.

Layovers

I love having visitors and it's always fun when friends and family have layovers in LA. A couple weeks ago my cousin Jessica was flying standby to Hawaii and got stuck in LA. We picked her up and had a yummy dinner at a new restaurant I found on Yelp called Tin Roof Bistro. They had the most amazing Brussel Sprouts EVER.

She saw Joan Rivers at the airport and accidentally called her Joan Collins.....hahahah

Jess isn't normally that tan, but she is the only one I know that gets spray tanned before she goes to Hawaii :)

What We'll Miss Most

As much as we didn't love living in the Jewel City aka Glendale we will miss all the kids we taught in primary. Al and I taught the 8-12 year olds for the last 2 years and loved our calling. I only remember a few of my primary teachers growing up, so I hope we are the ones they remember someday.

We will also miss the primary presidency....Julia, Lacey, and Leticia.

Primary worked well with Alex because he could crawl around in the back of the room during singing and sharing time. It will be interesting in relief society since Alex always wants to be crawling around. Maybe that will be a good time to send him to priesthood with Al:)

Instead of the Hello song they sang us the Goodbye song :( We will miss the Glendale 1st ward, but we are excited for our new ward in Pasadena.
