Thanksgiving 2012

This year my friend Tonya invited us to spend Thanksgiving with her family at their beach house in Santa Barbara.  It was so nice to not worry about cooking dinner.  I've cooked an entire Thanksgiving dinner before and I know how much work it is so I was extremely grateful for the invite:)
Al somehow snuck out of the house while we were sleeping to play turkey bowl with some guys he played with 2 years ago.  He also had a really bad sprained ankle that he managed to play on, crazy.
It was a beautiful day in Santa Barabara.  This is why we pay the big bucks in rent.
Our attempt at a family photo.
Tonya's family playing a little Bocce Ball
Cole in his cute Thanksgiving outfit from our friend Haydee.
Don't forget the cute little Turkey bum.
Alex snacking on some appetizers.
Camden and Alex enjoying their Thanksgiving dinner.
An amazing dinner that was half vegan and half normal. I ate extra turkey in hopes that Cole would get the tryptophan from my milk and sleep a ton.
Alex downing sparkling apple juice out of a wine glass.
and cute pregnant Tonya.  I'm very thankful for Tonya and her friendship over the years.  I couldn't ask for a better friend.

Grandma R

My mom was able to come out to help us with Alex and Cole after Al's mom left. Their is nothing better than having your mom there to cook, clean, and take care of everything.  I really wanted to see Twilight and I knew Al didn't want to so he watched both of the boys while we went one afternoon.  I always get caught up in the hype of Twilight and then while I'm watching it I'm reminded about why they are so corny.
This is a typical night around 2am.  Al is passed out to the point if I kicked him he wouldn't move and here I am so tired I could cry.  Hopefully I will be able to laugh in a month or so.
My life right now is diapers.  It's so weird to change teeny tiny Cole and then big solid Alex.
Alex was loving all the attention from Grandma Ranes and Grandma Cameron
Little Cole wide awake which is so rare those first couple of weeks.
Me and the boys.
My mom seeded 2 huge Pomegranates for me and decided to wear her matching pajamas..lol
Bath time with Grandma is the best.  One of Alex's new favorite things is showers.  He was spinning in circles and laughing as she held up that toy.
Al and my mom took Alex to the park and he even got her to go down the slide with him.
So many yummy meals made by Grandma Ranes.  My favorite was the homemade chicken noodle soup and pumpkin pies made from scratch not the can :)
and one more picture of Cole sleeping just because.
We are so grateful that our parents could come and help.  We miss you already and hope you come back soon.  XO

39 Weeks

I didn't take every week like I planned, but it turned out pretty good.  Here's to hoping I can get back to my size at week 13!!

Cole's Birth Story

I loved my birth story pictures so much with Alex I decided I wanted to do them with Cole.  Since we don't have family that live by us it's nice to have someone to take pictures for us.  Here are some of my favorites.  Our photographer was Sarah Scheidler.
