Cinco

On Cinco De Mayo 16 days ago, late again we took Alex to a carnival.  He enjoyed his first piece of Cotton Candy and Cascarone cracked on his head.

One of the more expensive carnivals I've been too....$6 for a hamburger and the cheese wasn't even melted.   I did score some used books for $1 a piece so it worked out.
Alex was so worn out he passed out on the way home.
That week was one of the worst craving weeks ever.  Commercials and any food people would bring up instantly brought on a craving. I think I had KFC, Greek, pizza, and that day it was Chinese, so we went to the best Chinese restaurant we know in LA called Yang Chow.  I always wanted Mexican with Alex, ALWAYS, but I'm all over the map with this pregnancy.  I had spicy chicken with vegetables.
and Al had their speciality, slippery chicken.
We love you Yang Chow
Yang Chow is in the heart of China Town and the first time we ate there we stumbled upon The Garage.  2 1/2 years later it's still in business.
I made Al walk through their for some Saturday night excitement.
It was a pretty eventful Cinco De Mayo.

I left my heart in San Francisco

We went to San Francisco last weekend for Al's triathlon. I don't do well on road trips so, I like to take pictures, clean out the glove box, play DJ, and anything else I can do to pass time. Driving through The Grapevine.
This cow farm really got to me. The smell and thought of those poor cows made me consider being a vegetarian....at least for 10 minutes. I could totally live without meat as long as I had fish. Did someone really pay extra for this license plate? hahah even I can run a 5k
On Saturday morning while Al, his dad, and Ross went to some meetings for their race, the rest of us went and walked around San Francisco. We couldn't have asked for better weather. We stayed in Fishermans Wharf so the seals were practically our neighbors. We had to go say hi.
They are really entertaining in the mornings.
If I was a seal I would be like this big guy right here.....I love laying in the sun.
They must have bad dreams because he randomly freaked out and dove in the water.

We walked through China Town and marveled at all the food. Especially these birds that look just like Terradactyls. Where do you even get these from and who wants to eat that?
Don't worry this is totally sanitary. At least they are wearing gloves. This one really got to me.... A turtle :(I really don't understand how fish can sit there all day in the open air with people walking by breathing on it.

Some really stinky fruit that Chad was telling us about.
One of the many artistic window displays we saw
Coby climbing the walls in an alley
Union Square where I would have liked to spend my entire day.
We walked to the Giants game from China Town and it was a little further than we thought.

We finally arrived
I totally look pregnant in this picture. It's either how I'm standing or an optical illusion, but I swear I don't look like that.
Not the best seats, but we had a great view.
I was so excited for the garlic fries
until I saw Lexis. Look how much garlic she got? What the HECK?
This usher was the worst photographer ever. You can barely tell where we are, so lame.

Bay Brigde
Al and Ross with their cute matching bags
Embarcadero fountains

Of course I had to walk through them like everyone else.

I've seen this guy every time I've ever been to San Francisco. I should probably introduce myself next time.
We walked through the Farmers Market at Embarcadero
I love mushrooms and Al hates them. Mushrooms are the best!!

Some of our friends told us about Bob's Donuts. They were our of their huge donuts.
How can you be out of these babys?Chad, Lexi, and I had dinner at Boudin at Fishermans Wharf. Their sourdough bread was just as good as it smells when you walk by.
We finished the night with Ghiradelli. I'm not a huge ice cream fan, so I had their sea salt carmel hot chocolate and it was pretty amazing.
