Daddy Time

Alex loves time with his Dad. They share blankets together.
They dress alike. Al's shorts and Alex's shirt matched perfectly and I totally didn't plan it.
They take naps together.
Alex can be screaming and then Al will say Alex and he looks right at Al and listens to him talk. It's probably one of the cutest things I've ever seen.
and as much as people say he looks like me which I agree, he also looks like Al. I've been trying to get the perfect picture, but this one will have to do for now. Alex does this exact same face and goes cross eyed too....lol

One Month

Little Alex is 1 Month Old. We were at the mall a couple weeks ago buying me a Nursing Bra (Just what I always wanted) and the lady that worked at Motherhood Maternity was like Oh wow old is he. I replied 2 weeks and she said oh wow he's not that little. It's good I'm not overly sensitive because I just laughed.
I bought some monthly stickers to see how much he changes month by month. Al always complains about how much I take pictures, but someday he will love me for it!
At 1 Month Old Alex is....
Discovering his hands and sucking on his fingers
Discovering his voice (if he has Al's I'm in trouble)
Makes Cooing noises when he's hungry
Wasn't sure about his first bath, but loves them now
Loves to lay in his crib for about 10-15 minutes in the morning and watch his mobile
Loves his play gym
Loves to be held and talked too
Smiles a lot in the morning
Loves to have his diaper changed
Loves to be swaddled at night
Loves car rides especially on the freeway
Loves to cuddle and curl his hands and legs up like he's still in the womb
Getting good at lifting his big Ranes head up (It's ok Alex, I had to deal with it too)
Alex has been nothing but fun and we are so glad he is in our family!!

Currently

I'm currently obsessed with a few things..... My new Sperry shoes that have been sitting in my closet for over a month because I somehow got tendinitis in my right foot the last month I was pregnant. The Doctor said it was most likely from gaining weight and my ligaments being more stretchy. Hopefully it goes away soon so I can wear cute shoes again.

Who doesn't love Reese's Peanut Butter eggs? Luckily AL loves them more than me so I don't get a chance to eat them all.

Adele's new CD 21, specifically the song Set Fire To The Rain. Luckily Alex doesn't talk yet and can't say we just listened to this song.
and I couldn't leave Alex out. I'm pretty much obsessed since we spend 24/7 together.

and bath time with him which he is starting to love.

Baseball Love

Somehow I got talked into going to the Dodgers game when Alex was 3 weeks old, so Alex could meet Uncle Coby. What I thought was going to be a cold night turned out to be really nice, so my Uggs and Northface coat weren't needed. This was one of Al's proud moments where I'm sure he will tell Alex someday "we took you to your first Baseball game when you were 3 weeks old."

One of Al's colleagues gave us 2 extra tickets and they ended up being front row. Sports games become about 10 times better when your this close even though I was worried about Alex the entire time. I kept thinking things like are the lights too bright, is it too loud, is that beer smell bad for babies, is a ball going to get hit over here, and the worst part do I really have to feed you on the first row? Yep I sure did and I was crossing my fingers the Jumbo tron Camera guy wouldn't find me.

How awesome is this view? The leg room was amazing too!!

Uncle Coby holding Alex.
I only made it to the 6th inning and then I used Alex as an excuse to leave, ha not really Al. I wanted to stay for the fireworks at the end, but I was afraid that would freak Alex out and plus it was already past his bed time. Wow do I sound like a MOM!! Thanks for the tickets Adam and V.

Color Melting

Maybe it's something to do with having a baby, but I've been dying to do somthing different to my hair and lose all this awful extra weight. I'm obsessed with the new term color melting and I really want to do it to my hair. I think my hair went darker while I was pregnant so this blonde is getting harder to keep up. Who knew that it would be trendy to have your roots show?

The next one is my favorite and not just because it's LC.

In the meantime I step on that scale every morning hoping that number is lower than the previous day. That first couple weeks the lbs melted off, but now it's slowing down. Hopefully all this hard work from breast feeding pays off and I get back to my normal self and clothes.
