Day by Day

We walk/run the Rose Bowl 3-4 times a week.  We were with Jenny and her kids one day so we took them to McDonald's afterwards to play and we got to drink Diet Coke and Diet Dr Pepper on tap.  Alex loves Jenny's son Hudson.  Anytime I say Hudson he yells yaaa
We had Cole's 4 month appointment.  Alex entertained himself by taking pictures of Cole and himself.  Next month they have an appointment together and that could be tricky.
I have new pictures like this appear on my phone daily.  Love that face.
Alex is currently into Legos.  He loves to stack them really high.
Cole is the worst napper. He's killing me.  I can't get anything done during the afternoon.
Cole in his cute new skinny jeans.
Alex is his Babiator sunglasses that are supposed to be for Cole.
We somehow went to Costco on the first day of Coupons.  MADHOUSE.  Luckily they were both pretty mellow and Alex is getting better about sitting in the cart.
Friday night dinner with the family.  Al gave Alex about 4 slices of bread and just like I said he didn't touch his dinner.  Mother knows best....haha
My friend Joanna was in town so we met at Lemonade so we could catch up and she could meet Cole.
We met some friends at Chucky Cheese one afternoon.  Alex was running around like a crazy person and I probably could have gotten away without buying any tokens.
Tucking Alex in for bed and letting him say goodnight to him.  Can't wait for these 2 to share a room someday.
Sweetest boys ever.  When we are in public and someone tries to look at Cole or touch him, Alex gets really protective.

4 Months

4 Month Stats
Weight 15lbs 14.5oz 50-75th percentile
Height 25 1/2 inches long 75th percentile
Head 42 cm 75th percentile
At 4 months Cole is....the exact same weight and head size as Alex at 4 months.
His eyes follow you as long as he can see or hear you.
He loves bath time and bed time.  He gets so wiggly when he's getting his pajamas on because he knows he is eating next.
Eats every 3 hours, but only takes about 5-10 minutes to nurse so it's a breeze.
Loves to eat his hands so much he gags himself.
Drools a ton.  It looks like he's going to get teeth soon and loves to have his gums rubbed.
Grabs on to the toys on his play gym, but can't quite grab stuff if you try to get him to hold it.
Still takes a bottle.  Not great, but I've been trying to do it once a week in case I need to go somewhere.
Very vocal.  When he screeches Alex will do it back to him, hilarious.
He can almost push himself up on his arms.
Loves going on our walks around the Rose Bowl
Has had so many colds and 2 coughs.  I guess that's what happens when they have an older sibling.
Loves his binky and it has come in handy several times.  I'm not sure how I will feel about it in the future.
Still waking up 2 times a night to eat and 6am everyday, so usually he sleeps in our bed from 6am-7am. I'm hoping he sleeps 12 hours straight soon so I don't have to let him cry it out.
I've been trying to get him to nap in the afternoon when Alex goes down, but I can't get him to sleep longer than 30min to an hour.  If I lay with him to take a nap he will sleep 2-3 hours.  I'm hoping he gets on a consistent nap schedule soon.  It gives me anxiety until they have a predictable schedule...haha
Loves to nestle his face into a blanket or you when he's tired, so cute.
Ticklish under his neck especially when you're putting on or taking off his shirts.
He is such a mellow baby and we are so thankful to have him in our family.

Eighty Degrees

The Bumbo is seriously the best.  Cole sits in it while we are eating lunch and dinner.  I don't want him to feel left out.
Alex is usually a good eater unless he doesn't recognize the food.  I told myself I wouldn't be one of those kid food moms, but here he is eating a corn dog.  The worst part is he doesn't even eat the hot dog, just the breading.  Way healthy.
We went on a quick Zoo trip with Al.  Don't ever get there one hour before it closes. Almost every animal and exhibit was closed, so lame.
Friday night dinner with the boys, love them.

The weather was beautiful this weekend so we met our friends at the beach with the rest of LA.
Keeping that baby skin in the shade.
Al digging a hole for all the kids.
Love those ladies.
The best picture we could get of the kids.
Alex wouldn't take a picture with us so here is our family picture.  I was so proud of Alex because he didn't really get in the water the entire time we were there due to all the kids that were playing with him. It gives me hope that I can go to the beach by myself with my friends this summer.
Alex enjoying his first spicy cheeto.  I  ate so many when I was pregnant with him that it would only be natural for him to like them.
Traffic on the way home is never fun, but good weather and company made up for it.
Being a goofball in sacrament.
I meant to take a picture of Cole in this outfit at 3 months, but it hasn't really been warm enough for him to wear it.  Cole is on the left at 4 months and Alex is on the right at 3 months.  I think they look so different.  I see a few similarities, but very different.  Love those two.

Brothers

I've been wanting to have some pictures taken of Alex and Cole, but didn't want to pay for it.  Instead I took some myself.  It lasted about 5 minutes, but I got some that I love.

Warm Winter

One of the best things about living in California is the weather especially during the winter.  A couple weeks ago it was 80 week so we had lots of fun enjoying the outdoors.   Random picture of Cole after his bath.  Love this age and I would love it more if he would sleep longer than 4 hours at night!!
Alex enjoying some french fries with the sunroof open.
Date night with some amazing friends and Al even saw a movie with us.  It was a big deal for me because I had the babysitter put both of them to bed which I've never done.  They both did great and Cole took a bottle for her, thank goodness.
Everything about this picture makes me laugh.  Cole's facial expression, Al talking to Alex, out huge bottle of BBQ sauce sitting on the table.
Alex riding the mini bikes at Kidspace
We had a fun zoo day with friends.  I made the mistake of putting us in jeans and was dying of heat.  Alex got a kick out of brushing the goats.
Alex kept yelling at the goats, hilarious!!
Checking out the gorillas and touching the way clean glass.

Alex sits down when I ask him to look over here for a picture.
Love these girls.
Alex smothering Cole, but it melts my heart that he loves him so much.
A yummy Indian dinner with some girlfriends.
