New Years Eve 2016

Al tore the tile off this fireplace in October so I was so excited to finally have it done!! My new chairs and coffee table for this room also came on NYE, yay.  It's all coming together.

The last 2 years we went to Benihanas for NYE so I thought it would be a fun tradition to continue.  Al constantly glued to his phone, what would we do without our phones.

So excited to go to Benihanas, the place with fire.

How do I have 3 boys, love love love them.

I'm obsessed with this cute outfit a lady in our ward gave us and sadly I think he only wore it twice.

Mom, can I take a picture with you?  Having all boys makes me sad because I feel like once they get married they morph into the wifes family. I hope that we can always be close even when that day comes.  

We bought them their favorite Japanese sodas.

Party Time

I think this was one of the first weeks Al started traveling again and I was nervous for all of us.  Bedtime with 3 is no joke especially when one is a newborn, but we survived and I somehow continue to do it.  Thankfully Brady is a dream baby and so calm and relaxed.  I don't know how I would ever survive with a colicky baby.

These two crack me up, love them and our daily laughs together.

My friend Heather had a Birthday party for her son Crew that was turned 1.  She's helped me so much in the last few months, I don't know what I would do without her.

How hilarious is this picture and Brady.  This picture describes his temperament perfectly, laid back, chill, and I like to eat.

I forget what I type on here since I don't do it consistent anymore but Cole is obsessed with Brady.  He's always asking where he is or if he can say hi.  Most of the time I have to tell him to give him space, but he has done so well with the transition and not being the baby anymore.

Home Depot Workshop

We love our monthly Home Depot trips and its so great when they have them inside the store.  You never know how busy it's going to be especially in Frisco, but January happened to be dead so it was nice to take our time and spread out.

Slow down time and don't get big, I love this sweet thoughtful boy.

They made Kung Fu Panda boxes that spin

I want to try and remember these sweet moments forever.  Brady loves to have his face buried in something while he sleeps, so cute!!

Doctors appointments with 3 under the age of 5 is crazy especially if they make you wait,  yikes.  

Alex is officially not napping anymore, but I feel like it's been like that since summer.  He's my little buddy during nap time asking what he can help with or what he can do next.  Sometimes I look at him and think wait you were just a baby, how are you 5?  I'm going to miss him so much when he goes to Kindergarten.

Tornado

I tried for a picture with all of them, but it just wasn't working this day :)

We finally found someone to tile our formal living room fireplace, hooray.  We got to pick out the best marble subway tiles together.  

Afterwards we took the boys bowling which they loved.  

We kept hearing about a bad storm so luckily went home after this.  

Around 6 or 7 that night the tornado sirens started going off and there was a crazy storm. Thank goodness Al was home or I might have had a meltdown.  Thankfully the tornadoes didn't hit Frisco, but they hit parts of East Dallas really bad.  It was so sad to watch the news and see all the families that lost their homes.   

Alex is the best big brother, no wonder he chose to come to our family first :)  He is always willing to help, getting Brady his binky, throwing away diapers, talking to Brady, wanting to hold him.  He also asks me when we are going to have a sister and more babies.  He says he wants a loooot of kids in our family.

Christmas Day 2016

Christmas was so much fun!! This was our tree on Christmas Eve.

The kids woke up and found their new John Deere truck from Santa.

Alex asked for a cookie maker for months and I just assumed it was an Easy Bake Oven, but a few days later we learned he wanted a kitchen aid like mine for his play kitchen, whoops.  Santa fail 2 years in a row.  Next year I will be asking specifics.

Cole got his airplane he found in a catalog.  Al got me some pretty pearl earrings and a Kate Spade bracelet and I got him a new leather work bag.  The best presents were Cole and Alex's.  Al took them to Target and let them buy me a bunch of random stuff.  Al got me a plastic bin that he said would be good for laundry, some gum.  Cole wanted to get me a bra....lol but he picked out some mascara which was smart.  Love those two.

We warmed up the hot tub that afternoon and listened to Christmas music while we relaxed.

We had a low key turkey dinner with twice baked potatoes, rolls, and green beans.

and that night we watched Home Alone with popcorn and Christmas M&Ms.  Such a fun Christmas that I will always remember.

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve was super mellow. I let the boys bake and ice their sugar cookies.

I made a recipe with sour cream and the dough was so sticky.

We went to Dianes that night for dinner and a live nativity.

She had costumes for everyone which so awesome.

When we got home we let Alex and Cole sprinkle reindeer food on our front sidewalk and let me say glitter is impossible to sweep off.  It's so fun to see the magic of Christmas through kids eyes, I love it.  Surprisingly they went to bed pretty quick which gave us time to start working our Christmas magic.
