Whirly Ball

A group of us threw our friend Karina a surprise 40th Birthday brunch at her sister Laurens
Just a typical day with Cole, walking to school to pickup Alex with Captian Hook, ha.
I finally got to play whirly ball!!  We got invited to go with a group for Karinas Birthday dinner, but Al had school that weekend.  I was the 11th wheel but it worked out since Heather was pregnant and couldn't play, haha.
I was so proud of myself for scoring a few times, yeah!!
Our whirly ball group which was hilarious and so fun.
Jeni invited us to her Halloween party the next night, so as soon as Al got home from the airport we put on our lame costumes and partied the night away Mormon style.
That ET costume was hysterical, seriously couldn't stop laughing.
Our creative lifeguard and swimmer costume.

Rosemary Beach 2016 Part 2

We had 3 days at the beach and they were all perfect. Every afternoon one of us would nap with Brady and hang out with Alex and Cole at the beach.  After nap time we would bring the pac n play down to the beach and round rolly Brady would just hang out and eat snacks.
Cole and his friend Lucy saying hi.
The tanner Alex gets, the whiter his hair gets, so cute.  The best part is he says I have white hair, but "lellow" when it's wet.
The boys made friends with this cute girl Lucy from Alabama who's family sat next to us at the beach everyday.

Cole counting his hermit crabs!!  We also caught tons of tiny jellyfish and starfish!  We learned you can only keep starfish if you put them in bleach otherwise they smell.

The 2 cutest brothers, I love our vacations together.
Our last sunset on the beach.  There were hundreds of dragonflies flying over the sea oats each night, so so beautiful.
Our friends from Alabama, when we got home Cole asked if he could invite Lucy to his birthday party.
and my very favorite picture from the trip, be still my heart.  I will cherish these moments and memories forever.    We were originally going to drive home early Monday morning but Al has worn off on me so I suggested driving through the night again, haha.   It was a crazy drive full of deer running across the road and some driver driving on the wrong side of the road who barely missed us, so scary and crazy.  People think we are crazy for driving 12 hours for 4 days and I'm beginning to think we just might be.

Rosemary 2016

I talked Al into going to Rosemary Beach again this year.  We bought the van the day before we left so we could enjoy it on the Road Trip.  We left around 8pm and drove through the night, haha.  I don't know how many more years I can continue doing that, but it does make it easier with little kids.  Hurricane Matthew was going on in south Florida when we took this trip, but thankfully the weather was great for us.  The water was really low this year and tons of weird sea life had washed up due to the storm, we saw so many jellyfish.
Our first morning there we stopped at the only breakfast place in town, the donut hole.  We stuffed ourselves and then went back to our tiny rental to take naps.  Alex rarely naps or needs extra sleep so I ended up taking him to the beach around 11 while the other 3 slept for a few hours.
Brady loved crawling around in the sand and also ate a ton

Our first night we hung out until sunset and it was so beautiful
Cole's favorite person in the whole world, I love when he gets to spend extra time with Al.

We caught a bunch of hermit crabs over our 3 days there and Cole was obsessed.
These boys played hard and stayed out there for hours and hours, finally the perfect age for both of them to hang out at the beach and not chase in the water.

Frisco Soccer

This year the skeleton came back with lots of fun goodies.
Cole got freaked out by the skeleton this year so we stopped hiding him and said goodbye until next year.
Double soccer games on Saturday in beautiful October weather.
Painting our Home Depot cars at home because it always gives me major anxiety at the store, haha.
Cole's soccer game

Cutest brothers, love them both!!

Haunted House

We started doing FHE consistently every Sunday night since Al is usually in town and it's something fun and exciting the kids look forward to and love.   This Sunday we made this fun Trader Joes Halloween Gingerbread house.   Our lesson was the Wise Man and Foolish Man
My favorite thing is hearing them say random things later on that were about our simple lessons.

My big boy Brady in the shopping cart with Cole, ahhhh I just want to freeze some of these days.
I finally decided between a van and Suburban and believe it or not I went with the van.  Of course the dealership that Al talked them down at was over an hour away so we left at 6 and didn't get home until 1030pm but with a brand new shiny van.
I seriously felt like this for a few weeks, so embarrassed and mortified that I was actually driving a van.   It's been 4 months and I still won't say I love it, but it's very practical and nice.  We have everything in there including a vacuum, sliding doors, and tons of room.  However if Al said I'll buy you a Mercedes GL550 I would trade it in tomorrow, ha.

New Friends

Ever since Alex started school I feel like we do a lot less during the days.  Poor Cole usually just runs errands with Brady and I.   I also feel like Cole and I have grown a lot closer since Alex has gone to school.  We get a lot more one on one time which I have loved, we both miss Alex and are learning to adjust without him.
I still make Cole have quiet time while Brady naps and believe it or not he still naps at least 50% of the time.  Bedtime might be a little harder and later, but Cole loves his naps.

Alex is practicing piano almost everyday and almost 5 months later it's basically a daily 15 minute chore.  We've gotten in a few fights about it, but I hope I can get him to continue it for many years.
Cutest Brady at tennis and still not crawling, yes!!
Crib time with Brady
We randomly planned a playdate with one of Al's classmates wife and kids.  I think she's the only wife that lives in Dallas so we have combined forces.  I think we were both a little hesitant thinking what if they are weird, but we hit it off and she's hilarious.
Kid selfie, so great to have someone that is going through the same thing as me minus her husband not traveling on top of the school, haha.
