Since we moved to Texas I've heard everyone talk about Destin Florida and how amazing it is. I have a few friends that told me we had to go to Rosemary which is about an hour past Destin so I told Al all year that we had to go in the fall. We left on a Wednesday night and drove through the night. Cole kept waking up and saying his pee pee hurt and when we pulled over at 5am for him to go to the bathroom, I looked down and told Al something was wrong because it was swollen and huge. We took a detour to get gas, breakfast, and then went to the closest hospital in Pensacola which was about 2 hours from Rosemary. Thankfully there wasn't anyone in the ER so they got us right in.
Of course we waited and waited, they had him pee in a cup which took some convincing by Al. Everything came back fine which was good, but the Dr honestly had no idea what it was. She's like just give him tylenol and benadryl and if it continues to swell than take him to another hospital. That's exactly what we didn't want to hear after sitting there for 2 hours and paying who knows how much. It didn't seem to bother him too much and he could go to the bathroom fine so we went on our way to Rosemary.
We checked into our cute little back house which was in the most charming neighborhood, changed our clothes, and went to lunch. One of Al's reps had raved about George's in Alys Beach so we decided to try and it was so amazing!!
All these 2 could think or talk about was getting to the beach and it was only a 2 minute walk from where we were staying.
Cole's was obsessed with playing baseball with his hero, DAD!!
So much fun at the beach and it was so so beautiful.
Everyone there rents bikes and rides them around town which is seriously like a 1 mile radius. We rode them to breakfast every morning and then went on a little bike ride afterwards.
The 3 nights we were there we let the boys play until sunset and soak up all the beach time they could get.
